Alfa Romeo can dazzle oncoming drivers; manufacturer recalls 25,000 cars

A faulty calibration of the Adaptive Front Light System (AFLS) can cause glare for oncoming drivers with two Alfa Romeo models.

Alfa Romeo is recalling 24,942 Giulia and Stelvio model series vehicles worldwide due to an incorrect headlight setting when loaded. The affected vehicles were manufactured between 19 November 2020 and 29 March 2022.

The headlight position sensors will be calibrated, and the lights will be aligned at an authorised workshop. The internal recall code is “6439“, and the whole operation should not take more than ten minutes.

Possible fuel leak with both Giulia and Stelvio

Alfa Romeo most recently recalled the Giulia and Stelvio last December. A possible fuel leak due to a manufacturing defect in the integrated pressure and temperature sensor on the fuel supply line could cause a fire in the engine compartment of 5,798 cars.
