Overview of the recalls in the 47th week of 2024
Eleven recalls for 18 models of nine manufacturers were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 47 of 2024. Six recalls for 26 models of five manufacturers were announced via the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Four recalls announced by Peugeot, two by Citroen, Fiat and Renault. One recall can be found in the European Safety Gate system for Dacia, Hyundai, Jeep, Nissan and Opel.
Audi, DS Automobiles, Mercedes-Benz, Mini and Suzuki are recalling via the KBA.

A loose screen can injure passengers
In some French vans manufactured between March and October 2024, the radio screen may not be properly secured and may come loose in the event of an accident. The screen could injure passengers and damage the airbag if activated. Safety Gate announced the recall for Citroen Jumpy, Fiat Scudo and Peugeot Expert vans this week. We have confirmation from another source that the recall also applies to the Citroen Space Tourer, Opel Vivaro, Opel Zafira and Peugeot Traveller versions and a total of 41,613 vans are being recalled.
Other French van recalls
Smaller vans based on the Citroen Berlingo are also being recalled this week. The aforementioned Berlingo, Fiat Doblo, Opel Combo, Peugeot Partner and Rifter, as well as the Peugeot 2008 SUV, may have brake problems. In the larger Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008 SUVs, the subframe support may be corroded. All these recalls are listed in the table at the end of this article.
EGR cooler also on Mini
The problem with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler, long known in BMW diesel models, is now affecting several Mini models. We wrote about this recall a few months ago, when 20,642 cars were recalled in Germany alone. Now the recall has been extended and 177,070 cars built between 2010 and 2022 could be affected worldwide.
