Volvo is recalling 106,691 cars to workshops worldwide, including 6,731 in Germany. The reason is a potential problem with the software in the brake control module. In rare cases, this could lead to the loss of electronic brake support while driving. In this case, however, the brakes can still be applied using the brake pedal.
The recall concerns certain versions of the Volvo models XC40, C40, S60, V60, V60 Cross Country, XC60, S90, S90L, V90, V90 Cross Country and XC90 from model year 2023.
