Volkswagen is recalling 644 vehicles of the Tiguan model series manufactured between 25. 11. 2018 and 18. 2. 2019. The reason for the recall is the head airbag housing that may be damaged. This may cause metal fragments to become detached, which could injure the occupants.
At an authorised workshop, the head airbag will be replaced in the affected vehicles.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15235R“. The internal manufacturer code is “69F0“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
