Volkswagen is recalling 296,878 vehicles of various model series (see below) manufactured between 2006 and 2017 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a fault in the gas generator of the driver’s airbag can lead to uncontrolled deployment and the release of metal fragments that can injure the occupants when the airbag is deployed.
In an authorised workshop, the driver’s airbag is checked and replaced if necessary.

This notification is purely informative for the vehicle type you have selected. What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
