Volkswagen Tiguan: Seat belts can tear in an accident

Volkswagen-Tiguan-2024-seat-bealts-accident

Volkswagen is recalling 2,605 Tiguan vehicles manufactured in 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that damage to the seat belts on the front seats caused by the seat height adjustment can lead to the belts tearing during an accident.

In an authorized workshop, the manual handles for the seat height adjustment will be replaced with new handles with the correct felt on both front seats.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14606R“. The internal manufacturer code is “72DV“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
