Too long brake hoses can wear through on two Mercedes models

Mercedes-Benz-A-Class-brake-hoses-kba

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 913 vehicles of the A-Class and CLA model series manufactured between 27. 2. 2024 and 14. 3. 2024. The reason for the recall are the brake hoses that are too long and can rub against surrounding components, which can lead to brake fluid loss.

At an authorised workshop, the brake hoses on the rear axle are checked and replaced, if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “114909R“. The internal manufacturer code is “4290102“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
