Steering control issues affect three Mercedes models

Mercedes-Benz-c-class-2022-2025-steering-control

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 17,606 vehicles of the EQE, GLC and C-Class models manufactured between 2 March 2022 and 23 July 2025. The reason for the recall is that, due to a faulty screw connection on the steering coupling, loss of steering control may occur.

At an authorised workshop, the screw connection on the steering coupling will be reworked.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15473R“. The internal manufacturer code is “4691007“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
