Overview of recalls in the 14th week of 2025
Three recalls for four models of three makes were announced via EU Safety Gate in the 14th week of 2025. Four recalls for 11 models of four manufacturers were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
One recall each will be found this week in the European Safety Gate system for the Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Kia.
Audi, Ford, Honda and Opel are all recalling through the KBA.

Shock absorbers and panoramic roof
Corrosion that could lead to loss of the external reservoir on the rear shock absorber is the reason for the recall of 167,823 Ford Bronco vehicles built between 2020 and 2023. Prior to the loss of the reservoir, fluid may leak near the rear wheels, noise may be heard, and ride instability may be observed.
The second Ford recall this week can be found in the German KBA database and is an extension of the original 2016 campaign. The 2,900 Ford Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect vehicles built between 2013 and 2014 may have an incorrectly glued panoramic glass roof that can fall off on the road while driving.

Steering gear
Honda is recalling 2,305,153 Civic, CR-V and ZR-V model series vehicles manufactured between 2021 and 2024. This is due to a lack of lubricant in the steering gear, which may result in difficult steering.

Risk of fire
The high-voltage battery in the Mercedes EQA and EQB may short-circuit and cause a fire. 33,705 electric vehicles manufactured between 20 February 2021 and 23 January 2024 are being recalled.
