Seat is recalling 3,326 Exeo vehicles manufactured between 2009 and 2013 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a fault in the gas generator of the front passenger airbag, which leads to uncontrolled deployment and the release of metal fragments that can injure the occupants when the airbag is deployed.
In an authorized workshop the airbags will be replaced.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14490R“. The internal manufacturer code is “69V4“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
