Renault Scenic with tow bar: The trailer may have a light failure (18/18)

18-18-overview

Three car recalls were announced at the eighteenth week of 2018. Just like two weeks ago recalls Dacia its Duster due to the possible incorrect contact between the towing harness and the trailer coupling, this time is Renault recalling for a similar reason. Renault´s Scenics equipped with a tow bar in after-sales service and produced in the period of March 22, 2016, to June 30, 2016, are affected. A total failure of the rear lights of the trailer could occur.

The other two recalls concern the Peugeot 208 and the Citroën DS3. In both, the front wheel axle assembly may be incorrectly tightened. This may lead to a loss of connection between the steering and the front wheel axle. However, since the vehicles produced on one particular day (22 June 2017) are affected, we have not added them to our database and only refer to the original Rapex document: 208 – A12 / 0624/18, DS3 – A12 / 0625/18 .

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
