Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid (2019 – 2022)

Volkswagen-Tiguan-hybrid-2022-high-voltage-fire

The amount of extinguished sand in the fuse of the high-voltage system is not sufficient in the event of a short circuit to the high-voltage safety system. This may cause it to burst, increasing the risk of injuries. Furthermore, the blown fuse can interrupt the electrical flow of current leading to a voltage drop inside the vehicle, increasing the risk of fire.

The Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 12 April 2019 and 22 February 2022.

VW recall code: 93N4
Affected models: Arteon, Golf, Passat, Tiguan, T7
Vehicle numbers (worldwide): 42,571

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
