Incorrect Bowden cables were installed on the remote unlocking of the 2/3 seatback of the asymmetrically divisible rear seat. As a result, the locking of the rear seatback or its restraining effect in the event of an accident could be impaired, increasing the risk of injury.
The Volkswagen Tiguan models affected by this recall were manufactured between 13 January and 11 March 2021.
