In the event of a repair, due to an ambiguous indication in the replacement parts catalogue, the adhesive joint between the sunroof cover and the sliding roof may be fitted incorrectly. As a result, the sunroof cover could detach in motion and endanger the following traffic.
The Volkswagen Passat models affected by this recall were manufactured between 15 October 2014 and 20 August 2018.
