The seat belt potentially has not been routed through anchorage eyelet, but through the plastic cover only. The plastic cover will tear under load, offering no protection, increasing the risk of injuries in the event of an accident.

The Volkswagen Amarok vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 12 October 2022 and 8 February 2023.
