Toyota Camry (2017 – 2018)

Toyota-Camry-2018-vacuum-pump

Due to the material used, the caps on the vane inside the vacuum pump may wear prematurely and could become stuck between the vane and the vacuum pump housing. Consequently, the caps may damage the vane and other components inside the pump, failing to supply a vacuum to the brake booster. As a result, the brake performance could be suddenly reduced without prior warning, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Toyota Camry vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 6 July 2017 and 27 February 2018.
