The airbag may deteriorate over time and if deployed, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator body to burst and metal fragments could pass through the cushion material causing injury to occupants.

The Seat Toledo vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 15 June 2012 and 6 September 2017.

Affected models: Alhambra, Ateca, Ibiza, Leon, Toledo, fitted with Takata airbags

Update 8/2024: At the request of the notifying authority the notification A12/00871/23 has been updated with additional information on the recall form of the product. The original Alert A12/02480/23 has been withdrawn at the request of the notifying national authority. It has therefore been unpublished from the corresponding weekly report and Safety Gate website, but still remains in the database of the German Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt – KBA.
