A software error in the engine control unit prevents the malfunction indicator light (MIL) from switching on if the urea injector stops working. This can lead to higher emissions and poses a risk to the environment.
The Opel Vivaro vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 6 October 2020 and 11 July 2022.
Update 14. 9. 2025 The malfunction indicator light (MIL) may fail to illuminate if the diagnostic system of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and/or the diesel particulate filter (DPF) malfunctions after a fault code has appeared. This could cause the vehicle to operate without the required warning, and resulting in emissions above the regulatory limits.
The Opel Vivaro vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 22 February 2019 and 12 October 2021.
