Opel Mokka (2021 – 2023)

Opel-Mokka-bluehdi-failure

Due to oil carbonisation and high contact pressure, the 7 mm camshaft chain resistance can be reduced. This may cause the camshaft chain to break, leading to an engine failure. This can cause a loss of vehicle’s control and increase the risk of accidents and injuries.

The Opel/Vauxhall Mokka vehicles affected by this recall were fitted with the DV5R (1.5 BlueHDi) engine and manufactured between 3 February 2021 and 30 January 2023.

Opel recall code: KUH
Affected models: Astra L, Combo, Corsa, Crossland X, Grandland X, Mokka, Zafira
Vehicle numbers (worldwide): 40,010

More info: Stellantis is recalling over a million cars with 1.5 BlueHDi engines

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
