Opel Astra L (2023)

Opel-Astra-2023-move-opposite-direction

The software for the communication of immobilisation data between the MCU (Motor Control Unit) and the BCM (Body Control Module) could be defective. As a result, from a stationary position on a slope, the vehicle could move in the opposite direction until the driver uses the brakes and stops the vehicle. This increases the risk of an accident.

The Opel Astra L vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 6 March and 9 August 2023.

Opel recall code: KIM

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
