If the accelerator and brake pedals are pressed simultaneously, it causes a hybrid electric vehicle control (HEVC) reset. This can lead to the engine stumbling or stalling under specific driving conditions (when the engine is cold, immediately after starting), creating a risk of an accident.

The Nissan Juke HEV vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 16 June and 14 December 2022.
