Trim parts of the backrest on both front seats can detach during rear airbag deployment in the event of an accident. The airbag deployment may be impaired, and the airbag itself may be damaged, increasing the risk of injury to rear occupants.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 11 September 2020 and 16 December 2021.
