The wiring harness running under the right-hand side second-row seat may not have been installed in accordance with the specifications and can be damaged when the second row is moved longitudinally.
Consequently, the rear sidebags may not deploy as intended, increasing the risk of injury in the event of an accident.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE models affected by this recall were manufactured between 30 November and 13 December 2019.
