An incorrectly bolted earthing connection and potential-equalisation cable for the auxiliary heater can lead to increased electrical resistance and overheating of the cable, increasing the risk of fire.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 26 May and 23 December 2021.
