Refrigerant of type R134a is used in the air conditioning system. As a result, the affected vehicles do not meet the requirements for type approval. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Type-approval directive.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA models affected by this recall were manufactured between January and June 2013.
