Mercedes-Benz-C-Class-2022-moisture-short-circuit

Moisture could enter the signal acquisition and actuation module. In this case, a short circuit may occur and as a result the risk of fire increases. Moreover, this moisture may cause the exterior lighting at the rear of the vehicle to fail, the rear backseat may unintentionally fold, and the rear-view camera may not be available, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 12 October 2020 and 2 June 2022.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
