Improper foam used in the front bumper may cause the active hood release to fail to deploy in the event of a collision with a pedestrian, increasing the risk of injury.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 15 October 2020 and 23 April 2021.
