Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2018 – 2019)

Mercedes-Benz-C-Class-2019-recall-brake-disc

The brake discs installed on the front axle may be too small (in diameter and thickness) and would not sit symmetrically in the brake calliper.

As a result, the brake lining can wear out and a gap between the piston and the sealing ring can be formed, allowing brake fluid to leak out.

This will impair the braking performance, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class models affected by this recall were manufactured between 13 September 2018 and 6 November 2019.

Mercedes recall code: 4290201

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
