Due to an improper manufacturing process of the fuel tank, when fully refueling the vehicle, liquid fuel will eventually fill the charcoal canister resulting in a leak.
A leak from the canister in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire. Additionally, the engine may stall while driving, increasing the risk of an accident.
The Mazda CX-30 models affected by this recall were manufactured between 10 December 2019 and 20 March 2020.
