Defective welding involving the vehicle’s axle may cause the weld to break which can lead to a loss of mechanical resistance and the axle flange becoming detached, increasing the risk of an accident.
The Land Rover Defender vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 1 September 2010 and 15 July 2013.
