Damage to the brake booster vacuum pump when the engine is started can cause the brake booster to fail with a warning message. This can cause the brake booster to fail after one or more brake pedal applications, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Hyundai Tucson vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 12 September 2022 and 7 September 2023.
