The mounting bolt of the curtain airbag in the rear side protrudes too much. As a consequence, in the event of an accident, it may damage the fabric of the airbag when it deploys. The airbag may not inflate adequately not providing protection to the rear occupant, leading to injuries.
Hyundai Santa Fe built between 1. 9. 2017 – 14. 8. 2018 are affected by this recall.
