An internal coolant leak in the EPCU (Electric Power Control Unit) may lead to coolant entering the electrical systems. As a result, it could cause a sudden loss of power, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Hyundai Kona Electric vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 17 June and 7 December 2020.
