Ford Focus mHEV (2020)

Ford-Focus-2020-mhev-fire

A nut securing the Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (mHEV) battery terminal may not have been tightened correctly, which could result in a fault in the electrical connection.

This may lead to the loss of the mHEV function and to local overheating and possible melting of the surrounding components during driving, increasing the risk of fire.

The Ford Focus mHEV models affected by this recall were manufactured between 25 June and 30 November 2020.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
