The rear axle tie rods are defective and may break. This may lead to loss of control over the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident.
The Ford Explorer models affected by this recall were manufactured between 17 May 2010 and 25 January 2017 in Chicago/USA and between 26 March 2014 and 25 January 2017 in Elabuga/Russia.
