Citroen C5 Aircross (2018 – 2021)

Citroen-C5-Aircross-2018-water-heater-fire

The electrical supply to the water heater unit can shut off too soon when the vehicle is stopped.

Fuel can therefore remain in the heater, producing smoke and fuel leakage. Moreover, the information about atmospheric pressure sent by the BSI to the water heating unit is incorrect, so the unit is unable to operate. The unburnt fuel may remain inside the unit and may produce smoke when next activated. Fuel may potentially leak, increasing the risk of fire.

The Citroen C5 Aircross vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 20 June 2018 and 11 October 2021.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
