The cable connecting the hall sensor with the seat buckle might be too short.
Consequently, the sensor might detach from the buckle, causing a faulty seatbelt lock recognition, impairing the functioning of the restraint system and the deployment of the airbag, increasing the risk of injury in the event of an accident.
The BMW X4 / X4M models affected by this recall were manufactured between 16. 11. 2019 – 4. 3. 2020.
