BMW 5 Series (2002 – 2010)

The battery positive (B+) transfer point in the boot may corrode. This can result in increased contact resistance, potentially leading to malfunction of the power supply and increased risk of fire.

The BMW 5 Series models affected by this recall were manufactured between 5 February 2002 and 27 July 2010.
