The locking mechanism in the articulated trailer hitch may be defective. Consequently, the trailer hitch might not be correctly locked and could swing out, causing the trailer to drop while the vehicle is in motion.
The Audi A4 models affected by this recall were manufactured between February 2018 and October 2018 and retrofitted between March and November 2018.
