Alpina XD3 (2016 – 2024)

alpina-xd3-2016-2024-equipment-injury

First published 28. 9. 2024, updated 30. 11. 2024 – see below.

Due to faulty rear-most screws, the screw fixings of the boot’s lashing rails can fail in the event of a rear-end collision with heavy intrusion, and penetrate the backs of the rear seats. This increases the risk of injury to the occupants of the rear seats.

The Alpina XD3 vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 21 December 2016 and 27 June 2024.

Update 30. 11. 2024

On November 28, 2024, another recall appears in the Safety Gate database for the 218 Alpina XD3 owners who have already had a rails modified. The screw connection of the lashing rail is reworked again (with longer screws), as the corrective measure from Code 0051960500 was not sufficiently effective (screws were too short).

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
