Land Rover is recalling 1,427 vehicles of the Defender model series manufactured between 1. 12. 2019 and 28. 2. 2025. The reason for the recall is an incorrect tolerance on the ‘raised air intake’ accessory that may lead to insufficient contact pressure, which can cause the part to come loose partially or completely.

At an authorised workshop, the aised air intake is removed and refitted with a modified mounting.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14974R“. The internal manufacturer code is “N964“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
