Power steering may fail in two Suzuki models

Suzuki is recalling 15,890 vehicles of the Vitara and SX4 S-Cross model series manufactured in 2024. The recall is due to an incorrect detection of a fault in the power steering control unit which may result in the power steering being switched off.

At an authorised workshop, the software for the power steering control unit is updated.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15521R“. The internal manufacturer code is “97DS“.
