Peugeot, Citroen, Opel and Fiat vans may have incorrectly mounted seats

French-vans-seats-kba

Opel is recalling 5.727 vehicles of the Vivaro and Zafira model series manufactured between 28. 8. 2024 and 8. 10. 2024. The reason for the recall is incorrect installation of the first and/or second row of seats that can lead to seat movement in the event of an accident. The risk of injury is increased.

The same problem can occur with 3,535 Peugeot Expert and Traveller vans, 2,882 Citroen Jumpy and Spacetourer vans, and 1,240 Fiat Scudo and Ulysse vans.

At an authorised workshop, the assembly of the first and/or second row of seats is revised and reinstalled, if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference numbers “14577R, 14579R, 14578R“ and “14576R“. The internal manufacturer codes are “KPP“ for Opel, “MT6“ for Peugeot, “NK7“ for Citroen and “6931“ for Fiat.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
