Peugeot 3008 and 5008: Poorly tightened heating cable may overheat

Peugeot-5008-2025-heating-cable-kba

Peugeot is recalling 4,001 vehicles of the 3008 and 5008 model series manufactured between 23. 6. 2025 and 20. 8. 2025. The recall is due to an incorrect tightening of the 48V heating cable connection which may cause it to come loose, resulting in heating failure or overheating.

At an authorised workshop, the connection of the 48V heating cable is checked and, if necessary, tightened to a torque of 8 Nm. If there are signs of overheating, the cable harness should be replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15569R“. The internal manufacturer code is “MYZ“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
