Peugeot 208: The engine may not comply with the emission standard

Peugeot-208-2019-emissions-engine-kba

Peugeot is recalling 135,976 208 vehicles manufactured between 2019 and 2023 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that due to faulty evaporation properties of the ventilation valve and the fuel line, the hydrocarbon concentration exceeds the legal limits.

In an authorized workshop, the petrol vapor solenoid valve and/or the fuel line are replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number „14108R“. The internal manufacturer code is „MHT“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
