Ford is recalling 1,582 Mustang Mach-E vehicles manufactured between 31 July 2020 and 19 May 2022 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a repeated software update: the battery main switch may overheat and cause the contacts to deform. As a result, the car may not start or could lose propulsion while driving.
In an authorized workshop, the software will be updated to repair the incomplete FSA (Ford Service Action) 22S41.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15093R“. The internal manufacturer code is “25S14“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
