Mercedes recall: Loss of drive possible in over 589,000 vehicles

Mercedes-Benz-Loss-drive-fuel-delivery-impeller-kba

A fuel delivery module impeller that does not meet the specification is leading to a comprehensive recall of Mercedes models AMG GT, C-Class, CLS, E-Class, G-Class, GLC, GLE, GLS, S-Class, SL built between 2021 and 2023. On 589,799 vehicles worldwide, the impeller may deform and come into contact with the housing. As a result, fuel delivery would be cut off due to the resistance, and the vehicles would then lose their drive.

The fuel delivery module is replaced in the workshop. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012934“, while the internal code is “4790205“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
