mercedes-benz-sprinter_rear-light-recall

315,575 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans will have to be serviced by an authorised workshop because the brake lights can illuminate even when the brake pedal is not depressed.

The cause is an incorrect manufacturing tolerance. As a remedial measure, an additional circlip is fitted to the bearing block of the brake pedal in the workshop. The affected vans were manufactured between 2017 and 2020.

The internal code of the recall is “VS3BREBOL (2991153)“, the German Motor Vehicle Authority KBA monitors it under the reference number “010656”.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
