Mercedes-Benz is recalling 97,652 units of the GLE model series (BR 167) in the plug-in hybrid version built between 2019 and 2023 to authorised dealerships worldwide. The reason for the recall is that under certain circumstances, an increase in the braking force on the pedal must be exerted, resulting in an increase in the braking distance.
As a corrective measure, the ESP controller software will be updated.
The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “013373“. The internal manufacturer code is “5496340“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
