Mercedes-Benz is recalling 24,873 EQE and EQS of the model years 2020 to 2023 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the measure is a software of the electric powertrain that does not comply with the specification, which can lead to its shutdown and thus to loss of drive.
The affected software is updated in the workshop. The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “012871” and the internal manufacturer code is “5496213“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
